Hi, I’m Chris! If you’re reading this, you probably saw a signpost about me talking about this, and you’re probably a walkabout or hiking enthusiast like me.
What’s This About?
I’m planning to hike a mountain this summer, a T2 or T3 mountain route. These trails are ideal for beginners, requiring only sturdy shoes, a reasonable head for heights, and no technical equipment. The selected trails will primarily avoid glaciated terrains so that the focus will be on safer, more accessible hikes.
Who Am I Looking For?
I’m assembling a group of 8–12 individuals who are interested in a summer hike. Ideally, you should;
- Love exploring the outdoors
- Can comfortably walk 10KM - 20KM
- You are keen to hike in Europe during the summer; ideally, it's a part of your year plans.
- Bring a curious mind, great personality, and excellent communication skills to a group.
- You have a summer travel funds/budget
- Have a Schengen visa (or a visa that allows travel to Schengen countries).
No prior hiking experience is required—this is a new adventure for me, too!
How Will It Work?
- Formation of a Group:
- We’ll create a dedicated group to plan and prepare together.
- Bi-weekly (Once in two weeks) meetings will help us research, share findings, and finalize plans.
- Collaborative Decision-Making:
- As a group, we’ll choose a destination from a set of criteria we’d create from a shortlist of breathtaking European mountains.
- Safety First:
- The trip will prioritize safety at every step, ensuring everyone is comfortable and prepared.
